Story: On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. The catch: You don't know what will happen until you take it. While some develop bulletproof skin, invisibility, and super strength, others exhibit a deadlier reaction. But when the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) teams with a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier fueled by a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to fight power with power and risk taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it.

Like: When it comes to superhero films like the genetic mutation of the X-Men, to the radioactive spider-bites from Spider-Man films, to the battle against evil with the Fantastic Four, the moment superheroes receive their powers on page or screen tends to be an irrevocable, life-altering event that forever changes their very DNA.

Not that Project power is a bad film to say, the film does have a unique style of changing the same genetic drug filled film to giving the film an edge with the drugs that give certain people powers that last 5 mins, which is a refreshing film. The acting from Joseph Gorden-Levitt, Jamie Foxx and Dominique fishback put in a well round performance throughout the film, with the special effect and wide shots really make this film well done.

The premises of a drug that can give you powers would seem a dream come true, but from what the film shows is that drug come with a draw back as you dont know what power you get, some drug can end badly for some. Its this premises that is great for the film because it give the film this intense look as you see people take this drug you have no clue what powers they will have.

Sadly while the film is a Great watch its not without its flaws which i feel lets the film down, but if you feel like checking out the film its on Netflix now.

Dislikes: My Issue with the film is its a Good watch but its had so much wasted potential with this concept, i meaning have a drug that only 5 mins ya was ok but i think the film could have done better t create the drug to give the person permanent powers making the film a unique superhero film, but it was waste on a pretty boring at times generic script which lets the film down

Overall:  Good watch, had potential falls short of the mark.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 6.9 out of 10 for concept
