Story: tory follows a man who has a recurring dream of losing his family. His nightmare turns into a reality when the planet is invaded by a force bent on brutality and destruction. Fighting for their lives, he comes to realize an unknown strength to keep his family safe from harm.

Likes: Saw this advertised a while back from the trailer this film looks interesting with a good sci-fi plot, but looks can be deceiving when it comes to the film isnt self. Not saying it a bad film, just not a great film, there was a lot of potential with the story but I don't think it was written very well.

The thing I do like is the acting is pretty solid for this type of film, although there is a lot of flaws in this that I could give away buy it would reveal the plot, Michael Pena and Lizzy Caplan are great in their performances and an actor and actress they are good in their own right, one problem is they have very little chemistry together which made the character a little off so I feel these are bad casting here.

The plot itself is pretty simple, life sees happy until an invading force attack the earth chaos ensues across the world, yet the story isnt all that it seems to be as the plot takes a weird twist. This is kind of where this film kind of nose better words nose dives, with a poorly written plot twist, that could be been better written.

Dislikes: This film biggest problem is that it tries this skyline, Matrix-style plot yet the plot is poorly written in a way that should have been explained better, especial with the dialogue of the late Steven Hawkins warning about AI being the dominant thing that will wipe out humanity. But the plot completely misses the point of this but giving no explanation what so ever, were give an utterly poor written sci-fi film that belongs on the Sci-fi channel.

Overall: Had potential but misses the mark completely, poorly written plot, poor casting

Rating: 4.2 out of 10 for Entertainment / 5 out of 10 for the concept
