Parents advised reading before viewing the film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity:
  • There is no nudity or outright sex, but there are two scenes of men kissing, and there are scenes of parties with suggestive content.
  • A couple is seen on a couch together, implied to be nude while covered with blankets.
  • During the Another One Bites The Dust montage, Freddie is led through what appears to be a gay club, in which men are seen in tight leather, acting suggestively. No explicit sex or nudity, this lasts for about 40 seconds.
  • The main character describes his girlfriend as an "epic shag".
  • A man leads another group of men dressed in leather into another man's house, it's implied they are planning on having an orgy; however, nothing happens, as the main character walks out on them moments later.
  • Being that this movie is about Freddie Mercury and the band, bisexuality plays a massive role in this movie. This most likely explains why countries like Malaysia and Russia gave this movie a much harsher rating than countries like Canada (Quebec gave Bohemian a 'G' meaning anyone can watch it), the UK and the US

Violence & Gore:
  • When the band makes fun of Roger Taylor, he abruptly throws dishes and slams the table, this is only heard, he then threatens to hit Brian May with the coffee pot, in which John Deacon stops him.
  • Freddie coughs out a little blood onto a napkin. This is one of, if not the only, times we see blood in the movie.
  • The band members occasionally argue and get into minor fights, yet nothing brutal occurs.

Profanity:
  • 1 use of the F word, some other profanity used one or 2 times like prick, twat, damn, shit and bloody.
  • The racial slur "Paki" is used at least twice in dialogue.
  • "Fag" is used once

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:
  • Alcohol is very common in various scenes
  • There is a scene where traces of cocaine can be seen on a table with bottles of alcohol
  • Freddie is seen smoking countless times throughout the film, along with others.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:
  • Two scenes show extremely sick men visibly dying of AIDS.
  • When Freddie tells the band that he is HIV positive, it is quite an emotional scene, as we see how it affects the band, as they cry and embrace him.

Story: Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.

The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career. Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid.

While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

Likes: Finally got around to watching the most talked about film of 2018 Bohemian Rhapsody directed by Bryan Singer, and straight off the bat this film captured my attention and brought back a lot of memory of the '80s. Being a child that grows up in that era with some good but alot bad, the one thing you could say about the '80s is it was one of the best eras for music period where you had rock legends from, white snake, Deaf leopard, Jimmy Hendricks, Jon Bon Jovi to name a few.

Then there were the legends that captured the hearts of millions around the world, Especial with a legendary rock band like Queen that came out of no-where in the early 70s, to become mass in the 80s and one of the biggest legends in the industry with the likes of Prince, Micheal Jackson to name a few.

What they've captured here with this film is a unique look behind the scene to Freddie life before he sadly past away 24th November 1991 of one of the biggest scares in the 80s with the Aids virus, that took so many lives. One thing that Freddie did, never gave up, never quit he kept entering people to the very end and never became a victim of a deadly virus, which this film although brief captures well.

All through the film touches on this subject briefly I understand why they didn't dive into it more because they would rather see Freddie for who he was a legend on stage and screen rather than what happened. This is something I praise the film for rather than make someone look like a victim, they've made Freddie look like a legend he deserved I thank Byran the director for that.

Throughout the film, you get to see how he struggled with family life and friend, trying to fit into a world of music losing his way a bit, you get to understand how the music from queen was created, with some of the most populator songs to the most memorable soundtrack to the Highlander film, which I now understand why " who want to live forever" song was written, it was around the time he found out he had contract Aids.

Kenny Everett a lot of people wouldn't have heard of this comedian if you were born after the 90s, who was a radio disc jockey when he first met Freddie at that time, who later became one of the funny flamboyant comedians that you couldn't help but laugh at his jokes and his performances it was so funny who sadly past away 4 years after Freddie with the same disease on the 4th April 1995.

The Cast of this film is just spot on, you can even fault this special with the performance of  Rami Malek who in my opinion deserves an Oscar for no just playing the role, but bring everything that Freddie was a showman, a lover and a person that in spite of everything Obstacle in his life he enjoyed life while he still had it.

This has to be one of the best performance in a film, this is why I believe that Rami deserves an Oscar for this film. It's been 34 years since Queen was at live aid in 1985 where Freddie before the year he became ill gave the performance of his life for free and raised million for world aid in Africa.
I was 9 year of age watching this man performance on stage singing the classic queen album and getting the coward to join in, that was who Freddie was and should always be remembered as, a legendary performer in the music industry.

If there was ever a film you should watch, this is one film you shouldn't miss out on, incredible casting, amazing performances, absolute 100% acting from Rami as Freddie, Check it out if you havent already as it one of those rare films that's phenomenal.

Dislikes: There time where the film pacing slowed down a little too much but all in all really good film.

Overall: Rami has Freddie is phenomenal, Great Queen classic, great cast, Great film a must to watch.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Entertainment / 9 out of 10 for Biographical film on Freddie life
