Sex & Nudity: A woman wears a shirt that reveals some cleavage.
Violence & Gore: Trap related theme so expect violent content throughout.
Profanity: 15 uses of Godda**. 1-2 fu**. 2-3 uses of di**. Several other uses of milder profanity, such as ass, shit, damn, hell, etc...
Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: There are a couple of scenes where one of the characters smokes or is trying to light his cigarette.
Frightening/Intense Scenes: Scene through the film are intense and somewhat frightening, recommended age 15+ not recommend for anyone younger
Story: Six strangers are given mysterious black boxes with tickets to an immersive escape room for a chance to win tons of money. Being locked in several rooms with extreme conditions, they discover the secrets behind the escape room and must fight to survive and to find a way out.
Likes: Escape room directed by Adam Robitel using the popular crazy that going around with escape room, finding the clues and searching the room for a way out. Yet when an escape room become a deadly trap and a fight for life, the film takes on a more interesting and intense tone.
Not that the film isnt great it good for what it is and its entertainment value, it just this concept has been done before with a film called the cube and similar other IPF film (independent film) with a lower budget.
The acting is pretty solid though the film is very predictable in places which is why I feel the film is average but entertaining none the less. The trap design is inventive so i'l give the film that especially the bar room and the room at the begin which was predictable the moment things started to happen.
I do like films that force the character to work together as a team to solve puzzles it helps with the realism of a film, although one character you would just love to knock down a peg or two and other you just want to slap in the face lol. The pacing of the film is pretty straight forward not to slow, not to fast with an entertaining value to it which make it an ok film to watch but its one of those films that you're love or hate.
Dislikes: The issue with the film that I saw is that the concept was a little predictable which brings the film down and take you out of the film, because of this you find you self no emotional attachment to the character so when they die one by one your not emotionally gripped with there death.
Which is a shame since it's a whole new take on this type of film, but I feel because of its predictability the film is brought down and has been done so many time even though its great entertainment to watch. The trouble with film been done so many times it's hard to make a film like this be a successful film in its own right.
Overall: Great film a little predictable in places, good acting, ok traps
Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 7 out of 10 for a new spin of concept.
