Likes: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is it any good? Well, I'm gonna be Brutally honest here and say no because this film has so many issues, bad directions, and decisions that it lets the film down. For most parts the acting and performance were Perfect, but the film is so overly long and super slow pace with nothing happening until the 3rd act of the film, that you can really notice where the film is missing Chadwick Bosman's presence as black panther.
This is where Marvel has really Pissed me off, with the most disrespectful send-off writing the character out of the film, without a Hero end and giving him a cheapened death in the film, when they could've had someone playing T'Challa' behind the mask fighting the villain and then died, it would have given more motivation for the film against the villain, it would have been a More Emotional scene with the Funeral.
with Angela Bassett, I will say she does give a very powerful performance, with her character losing her son, I find that she was the only one really caring about the film, for the most part, there were some funny moments with Danai Gurira and Winston Duke who both had some hilarious Banter, it was a shame they weren't in the film that much.
This is in no way shape or form on Letitia Wright she is a great supporting actress, but trying to carry this film, sadly didn't come off well as it doesn't play to her strengths as an actress, I found she wasn't carrying strong enough to Carrie the film through to the 3rd act, this is why I feel this film could've been delayed to give Grieving time for Chadwick pasting may he rest in peace, Marvel bad decision was not to recast, which I think was a bad idea for the film, because having a new Black panther through the whole film would have worked in its favor as it missing it Soul from the first film.
Marvel's bad decision was not to recast, which I think was a bad idea for the film, because having a new Black panther throughout the whole film would have worked in its favor as it's missing its, Soul, from the first film. want to change it a bit which ok I can respect, but he is the most Generic villain to be the main villain of the film, especially when at times, he just didn't feel like a villain at all, he just felt like someone trying to protect his people.
To be honest, the Two things that could've saved this film from its slow boring pacing and weak villain would have been saved if they recast the role of the black panther and the introduction of Dr victor Doom killing Challa in a fight, giving Challa a hero death, giving motive for revenge like I said as the main villain for this film, it would have given so much of a better, motive for Namor and the New black panther to work together to fight and take down Doom.
This would have made for a Better Sequel in black panther franchise films, Sadly the direction in This film did go in, I feel the director was too emotionally involved in great actors passing, which made for a disappointing let-down of a film, that had a great first film.
It Suffers from that curse of Sequel not Processing the first film, which is sad to see, but it seems to become a thing just lately with Marvel's Failures with phase 4, but that said I'm not saying don't go watch, more just prepared for disappointment if you don't like the film.
Overall: Boring super slow pacing, bad direction, poor choices.
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 For Entertainment / 5 out of 10 for a Sequel
