Likes: This is the true and honest review you’re about to get- this film blows me away. Straight up, no lie. It's not just the passion that’s gone into this film, but the emotional content as well that just blow me away in so many ways that had me in tears by the end of the film.

The direction and dialogue of the film are incredibly done to bring one hell of a film with love, adventure, and a message to the world that brings Wonder Woman’s character out the right way on screen. The hype is real, as director Patty Jenkins has done an incredible job on this film with a great balance of humour, inspirational moments, and the incredible soundtrack, which just made the dramatic scenes amazing- it gave me chills.

The emotional scenes in the second and third acts gave this film a brilliant ending, and I was seriously holding back the tears. It really hit the heart; when a film can do this, you know this is a fantastic film. The film is perfectly done, with the first half the film showing Diana growing up around the Amazons on the island of Themyscira. The film gave the audience a back story of the gods, which perfectly sets up the character Aries.

The way this film shows  Wonder Woman is brilliantly done in a way that it not this overbearing feministic theme; it shows men and women as equals. When it comes to Steve and Diana’s characters, as Steve is an equal to Wonder Woman, it comes off brilliantly on screen.

Connie Nielsen’s performance as Queen Hippolyta, the Queen of the Amazons in Greek mythology, was amazing- not only playing the mother role but also playing the queen with concerns about Diana. Robin Wright, in her own right, was a bad ass on screen, as we see her kicking ass in the first half of the film playing Hippolyta’s sister, Antiope, who trained Diana, to Hippolyta’s displeasure.

Elena Anaya was the perfect casting choice for Dr Maru, aka Dr Poison, as we see her character as a psychopathic alchemist creating something that could single-handedly destroy the world. She plays this role brilliantly with Danny Huston’s character, who was actually a real German general in the First World War by the name of Ludendorff. He came across as very ruthless, which I feel was Aries’ influence on him.

David Thewlisperformance was actually damn good in an "Alec Guinness" way, with a somewhat sinister tone in the third act; but As Aries, he was seriously good. Although these scenes were C.G.I., I think that was the only way you could do this- it was one hell of a fight scene with Diana and he did an amazing job in this film.
Chris Pine’s performance is one of the best he's done, playing Steve Trevor. Strong but weak at the same time,  his dialog throughout the film is well-written, with emotional and on-screen chemistry with Gal Gadot added to the film’s flare.

One thing people were worried about was if Gal Gadot could pull Wonder Woman’s character off, since we only saw her character in full warrior mode in the third act of Batman v Superman. I can honestly say that you can't keep your eyes off of her throughout the whole film. Not only is she incredibly beautiful in the film, but her acting- playing this woman that's never been in the world of men, let alone seen a man- is incredible.

The way she comes across, which adds to the character, is as a naive woman in a world not her own. Unlike who we saw in Batman v Superman, she is completely new to everything with a natural curiosity. She pulls it off incredibly well on screen, giving the Wonder Woman character the justice she needs on screen.

Although most of the third act’s EPIC battle is C.G.I, you can easily forgive this because the rest of the film is amazingly directed. The film score is probably one of the best movie soundtracks that not only adds to the dramatic effect of the film, but gives it that edge it needed. The scene that we've seen in the trailer, when Diana steps out onto the battlefield from the trench, was given an inspiring, powerful moment of heroism, in no small part because of the soundtrack.

There seriously is nothing I can fault this film; it's great soundtrack, acting performances from all- Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and the others just made this film for what it is. It's a must to watch- you would be a fool to miss this film with a few original superman nods throughout the film.

Dislikes : The only nitpicking I would give is Aries’ armour, which I'm sure some people will complain about. Again, I do feel it could've been better designed, but it was okay, as the scene was too epic to actually care about that fault.
Overall:
: Incredible story, amazing life inspiring message, performances were spot on. Amazing special effects and soundtrack.
Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 10 out of 10 for best comic book film ever
