Story: Aquaman aka Arthur son of Queen Atlanna must embrace his destiny to stop a war on the surface world he calls him, stand in his way he brother King King Orm aka (ocean master) who hell bent of a war against humanity time is running out.
Likes: This film blow me away, the visuals, the ballsy risk-taking with the story in this film really pays off. Final a film that DC has taken a risk making with an inventive way with the visual effect of Atlantis, The acting and cast members along with the soundtrack as well just an outstanding film.
Jason Momoa was born to play this role, especially bring that HAWAIIAN-KOA flare to the role being a god of the sea, he played this role to the tee and made Aquaman completely badass while giving the audience some funny moment. Nicole Kidman was incredible as well bring a backstory on how Arthur was born and legacy of her people, these scenes are done so well it brings a heartwarming emotion tone to the beginning of the film.
Amber Heard despite everything in her private life, she still a great actress and her performance playing mera is spot on and looking beautiful with the red hair, with the on-screen chemistry with Jason as perfect which make her the best casting for mera who is the future queen of Atlantis. Willem Dafoe performance is amazing as a mentor for Arthur and counsellor to King Orm bring a good balance to the film.
Patrick Wilson was perfect casting for King Orm / ocean master, with what he was given made him a great villain of the film with a misguided but evil heart, which the film perfect set up the ocean master villain perfect. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as black manta killed it, I was a little worried that the suit would look too big but after watching the film and the way he makes the suit it's perfect. His performance with the fight scene adds that extra flare to the film and a formidable antagonist.
With supporting cast from Temuera Morrison, Michael Beach, Graham McTavish, Randall Park, Dolph Lundgren who help carry this film story along was just perfect. The Cinematography and visual effects of the ocean floors and cities that look like they were in the sea for years is incredible and the style of Atlantis with all the colourful lights and marine life really give the look of what Atlantis could be like.
The soundtrack omg the soundtrack is incredible to this film add that epic moment with epic music playing in the background, you couldn't make a better film than this. Dc final took risks instead of playing it safe and it paid off as James wan directing of this film is just nothing short of perfection, What great is that doesn't have any of the marvel crap cheesiness that justice league.
Aquaman is a perfect balance of emotion, epic action scene and Jason being a badass on screen with perfect casting support, that any DC fan will love.
Dislikes: One slighty issue was with Manta team, there was a past altercation with them that wasn't explained when Arthur first encounters them, that the only flaw with the dialogue
Overall: Perfect story, Jason make Aquaman badass again, a must see. Performances.
Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 10 out of 10 for Adaption story of Aquaman.
