Violence & Gore: A monster's eye socket is stabbed and plucked out in full gory detail with a weapon.
A character is shown with oil and presumably blood on her face and shirt in one sequence
A character gets cut in half (out of frame) by a shield, and we see their shocked expression.
At the beginning of the movie a decomposing body is briefly shown numerous times, later in the movie, it gets reanimated
A character gets shredded into large strings by magical powers, no blood or gore but we see them briefly scream in pain before their head explodes into a small ray of light
Someone gets their neck snapped, brief and not very graphic
One of the most violent films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Several brutal sequences of action violence include brief shots of blood and gore.
A man falls from a building and is impaled on a fence.
Profanity: Some mild uses of "shit", "ass", "bitch" and "damn"
Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Characters are drugged by drinks.
Frightening/Intense Scenes: More frightening and more intense than any other MCU movie.
The depictions of a version of doctor strange will most likely frighten younger viewers. Bones are seen sticking out and half of the face is injured in gory detail.
This movie is a horror superhero movie for the first time in the MCU. This movie might be the most horrific and gruesome movie yet in the MCU. However, none of the horror scenes are over the top.
The film has a lot of jumps scares however most jump scares are predictable
Story: Dr. Stephen Strange casts a forbidden spell that opens the doorway to the multiverse, including alternate versions of himself, whose threat to humanity is too great for the combined forces of Strange, Wong, and Wanda Maximoff.
Likes: Dr strange in The Multiverse Of Madness is it any good? Yes and no, while the film element is somewhat good there are areas of bad direction and poor direction decisions, what you see in the trailer completely throws it out as the trailer is misleading as a lot of what is shown in them isn't even in the film.
The premisses of this movie has a great plot idea broadly but a massive underwhelm subplot using the same character as the main antagonist which should have used someone else, but because of a bad decision in this film its leads to yet another big character being killed off. Which I feel marvel fans will be angry about.
While the film does use the what-if style storyline in areas, that some audiences might have figured out from Tv spots on the trailer, It would have opened up a lot of new characters being introduced to the MCU if it wasn't for the bad dicision.
Benedict Cumberbatch actually does feel comfortable playing the role again, as he sent on a journey in the multiverse with weird and wakey worlds, while this film is Technically his film, Elizabeth Olsen kind of stole the limelight with her performance which really made the film her film, but her character the way it was written made her feel paper-thin as most of what has happened seem to be off screen.
While the visual effects are amazing, it is sadly let down by the direction of the film which feels outdated which is why I feel Sam rani was a bad choice for this film, I do feel a better director would have done a better job, not to say that the film is bad at best it's a popcorn movie that some audiences may like, but for Marvel fans well that in question.
So is this really worth rushing out to see, Huh not really, this is more of a film to wait for the DVD/Blu-ray to come out as it is an ok film but mediocre compare to the other films.
Dislikes: I think it was a stupid direction to kill this character off, as this character could have changed, and been in other films, it was a bad decision to kill this character off.
The new characters from this film could've opened a new direction to introduce these characters to the MCU, but were completely waste by bad story writing.
The pacing almost killed this film completely as there are way too many slow moments, as well as the trailers being misleading as most of what was shown in the trailer aren't in the film, with it poor execution and bad decision for this film
Overall: ok film, mediocre compared to the other films
Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 6.8 out of 10 for Sequel
