Story: After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy's top aviators, Pete Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him.

Likes: After 37 years since the first film, is Top Gun maverick really that good? "ABSOLUTE 100%"  the best sequel to Top Gun you could ever get, and Aside from the adrenaline-pumping edge or your seat action, this story also had heart. It successfully overachieves and surpasses its predecessor on every level.

This film comes from a novice director Joseph Kosinski, who made an outstanding, visually speculator Camera work with the new sony technology camera in the cockpit of the F/A 18E super-hornets, giving a perfect view of the actors in real F/A 18E super-hornets. I know you're probably thinking this is CGI jet fighter.

No on a condiction from Tom cruise to make this film he wanted no CGI on the fighter jet, he wanted this to look as real as possible and he delivered, what you are seeing is the actors flying these jets for real after 9 months of psychical training from small planes working them up to the fright jets and get them to use to the G-forces because they didn't want the actors to look in pain when they are supposed to be portraying the best pilots in the top gun academy.

Casting and performances are perfect, especially with the way they have written these characters to be cockcy and the way maverick just teaches them a lesson was so funny and perfect, I love how they brought one of his old flames in this with was mentioned in the first film, and with the way Tom cruise is comfortable with flying a super hornet at high speed shows once again Tom Cruise reminds us why he is still one of the top actors in the industry.

Miles Teller, what a performance playing the son of flight LT Goose who died in the first film, really gave an emotional tone not just for his character but for Maverick who is still haunted by the past, which gave this film its heartfelt storyline.

Visual camera work as the fighter jets fly in formation, was so outstanding, especial when they doing the mission wow just blow me away with incredible flying stunts by the actors/actress themselves, really does give this film its realism.

The only CGI in this film is the VFX with missiles, bullet traces, and the sam site, everything else is real, and that is the one thing that blows me away on just how amazing this film truly is for a 37 year old sequel from 1986.

Would I recommend this Absolute watch it on the big screen for the best movie experience!

There's nothing I can critique or wish was better, as this movie was perfect in every way. Absolutely stunning, action-packed with a compelling and emotional story, as well as being a visual masterpiece. I'll be definitely seeing this again and adding the DVD to my collection. It's a rare perfect 10/10 must-see from me.
