Parents advised reading before viewing the film as some scenes may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: none

Violence & Gore: Several brief flashes of fleshy injury detail. Not that visible since it's in a dark area. Easy PG-13 material.

Sustained threat throughout with intense lion attacks with no violence, though.

Dead corpses are shown. Somewhat graphic.

A man is shown nearly dead and panicking. Extremely disturbing

An operation scene is heavily implied as the thing is not shown (with the camera angle above the wound).

Brief stabbings with the lion. Not graphic at all.

Profanity: 1 use of son of a b*tch 2 uses of f**k

Alcohol/Drugs/SmokingFully grown adults are shown casually drinking alcohol while having a conversation. Nobody gets drunk. The scene is about 2 minutes long.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The film is an intense and extreme threatening situation with a lot of blood shown

Story: A father and his two teenage daughters find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion, intent on proving that the Savanna has but one apex predator.

Likes:  Beast, is it any good? Absolutely yes, and worth watching; even though the film feels short, it still has an incredible moment of intense fear and a threatening tone that will keep you on the edge of your seat. However, while the story is simple to follow, it might not be a film for everyone.

The movie reminds me of a film called red machine, where a group of loggers are cutting way too many trees down, causing deforestation to the point Nature fight back with a Massive rogue bear killing everything in sight. Only in this film goes wrong when the poacher screws up and causes an unnatural beast of nature to go rogue and destroy everything in sight.

As we see from the trailer, Dr Nate Samuels (Elba), Norah (Leah Jeffries), and Meredith (Iyana Halley, are on holiday in Africa with a lifelong friend Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley). Find themself in a threatening situation with a rogue lion hell-bent on killing them for being in he's territory.

From here, the film takes on a threatening fight for survival with intense moments that leaves you wondering who gonna die and who gonna live, which gives the film its edge and makes it worth watching if you love this type of film. Especial when it has elements of the red machine and ghost of darkness movies that have similar concepts.

Dislikes: There may be some moments throughout the film where the character does stupid things, especial with a rogue lion around, that you may hate about the film, which are the typical cliche moments you see in most movies. That is the only Nitpick about the film; a moment like that can take you out of a movie.

Overall: bloody, frightening, and an intense thrill ride in a threatening situation.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 7.8 out of 10 for the concept
