The crew determines that the sample contains a large, single-celled organism - the first example of life beyond Earth. But..things aren't always what they seem. As the crew begins to conduct research, and their methods end up having unintended consequences, the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected

Likes : Ok i went in to this not expect what would happen or how this film would be, but dam this film goes from a 15 cert film where everything is fine at first to this full on full speed R-rated film that become this very intense scary film to watch.

I can honestly say this is not a film for anyone under 15 i kid you not, this film grips you to the edge of the seat at every turn with some of the most intense, frightening scene that revivals alien. The best way i could describe this film is gravity meet alien, with some of the best acting and perfect casting for this type of film.

This is the type of film that show this perfect example of "if you go looking for life, be-careful of what you go looking for, as what you find might not be what you want to find". The film does a great job in introduce the crew of space station orbiting the earth, we're treat to some spectacular C.G.I cinematography of being in space and orbiting our own planet.

The crew and cast of the characters Sho Murakami ( Hiroyuki Sanada ), Rory Adams ( Ryan Reynolds )Miranda North ( The beauty Rebecca Ferguson ), David Jordan ( Jake Gyllenhaal ), Ekaterina Golovkina ( Olga Dihovichnaya  ), Hugh Derry ( Ariyon Bakare ) All perfect in sink with each portray a good friend crew that work like a family, when things start to fall apart their acting in portray an intense fight for survival is outstanding.

Not once does the acting fall away from the moments they are in which is good for the story giving the audience this intense rolloercoaster of a movie, that keep the audience not only entertain but also give them the sense of fear in the crew. This is what great about this as it does this great job at drawing you in and making you feel like one of crew and what their going through, there are moment in this film that are shocking and frighting which get your heart racing.

Two character that stood out more in this film were
Jake Gyllenhaal and the beautiful Rebecca Ferguson, the on screen chemistry between this two is perfect special when they have this touching scene, Specially from Jake Gyllenhaal character he come across with what is say which is true because i feel it sometime, the space is his home with what he say's in the film you can understand why.

The C.G.I design on the alien life form is brilliant done in show a intelligent but extremely hostile organism, The does this great job at giving this Organism a life of it own, specially when the crew is trying stop it, but what they are dealing with seem to be a Apex predator organism. This alone give the audience something to question with the answer was there life on mars, is this the reason for life on mars going extinct! the question boggles the mind but an interesting one.

Overall, Life is an excellent example of how this type of film goes against the typical sci-fi genre tropes that Hollywood has produced over the years and features some truly brilliant performances from the main cast.

While many may be expecting something like the sci-fi films that Hollywood has been churning out over the past couple years which lets face it most of these film have been slightly mediocre, this film is far from the normative of the sci-fi film genre. This film feels more in line with the movie's like Ridley Scott's Alien and Tarkovsky's Solaris which makes this rise above the rest of the films that you can compare it to. Along with being Espinosa's best work, it also features a very human performance from Ryan Reynolds which shows diversity in his acting.

So is this film really worth watch? HELL YES, this is a film i high recommend watching as it tie the element of horror, suspense and sci-fi into a thriller style horror space drama film, the twist at the end make the film even more intense.

Question for those that have seen this what did you think of the film, did you find it intense as i did and brilliant made or do you think it just like any other sci-fi film? Give us your thoughts on this film.

Dislikes : There really isnt any i could spot that was bad, this film was actually good, the only thing really was a slight focus issue at the being, but nothing major.

Overall
: Sci- fi film that revival Alien in intense moments, Perfect acting, brilliant Sc--fi apex predator theme film. Highly recommended.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 10 out of 10 for concept.
