ProfanityMild language throughout. It's tamer than the first movie.

Story:
Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their new found family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favourite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Likes: I will start off by say its good but fall slightly; I mean just slightly off the first film in area's as it doesn't quite live up to the original film in way's, which I'm sure Marvel fans will ignore and say it perfect. We see the original character with their sarcastic humour as well as a few new character join the line up in this franchise with a cameo from Sylvester Stallone. which actually a cool cameo to play.

One thing this film does great in is entertainment as certain part of the film are actually funny, where other parts tend to lose the mark on jokes and fall a bit flat. Also with this film, I'm actually surprised they learn the mistake of the original film was the Antagonist in this one, giving the audience a better villain with more threatening tone, unlike lee pace in the first film playing ronin, as I found this villain gave a better threat to the universe.

Unlike the first film which was aimed around the action and jokes, this time it more touchy filly with certain character, giving the audience a more depth insight which gives them a more human side as we get a background on Peter ( Chris Prattfather and something I thought I would never see Nebula ( Karen Gillan ) give her true emotions out. As we saw Nebula in the first film we saw that she was Thanos daughter and she was evil as hell which was a surprise in this film because I couldn't believe what I was hearing with what she said.

Probably the funniest moments come from Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) as most of there scene were funny as they make a great tag team, it just funny as you seen in the trailer as well a baby Groot chasing a man that was hilarious (a grown man running from a small tree just funny comical moment). Rocket in the woods scene there was a moment that was just straight out of a Roadrunner cartoon which was funny as well.

The only thing with this film is that I can't really discuss Kurt Russell role in this film as it would give away major spoilers it would ruin the plot of the film, so you just gonna have to watch the film to find out.

The cinematography of the film is beautifully done with some great C.G.I animation work that went into this film, although some of the 80's the music didn't really fit the moments in certain parts like the film films music did, but there were a few areas the music fitted.

James gun directing manages to infuse such heartfelt emotion in the characters that give a structured base in giving the film someone of its emotional themes, which was actually needed for Peter, Nebula and Gamora scene because if the film showed no emotion these characters would have come off odd in these moments.

That being said, it is quite a fun movie to watch, better than a lot of previous movies proclaiming to be comedies. Drax, baby Groot and Rocket, even the newly added characters such as Mantis make sure you are laughing out loud many times in this movie with certain scenes.

Could I say that this film was better than the first film, sadly no although as I've said the villain was better in this one, it falls prey to the sequel curse where the first film seems to have the better edge? It not a bad film just not that great.

The several end credit scenes are worth watching until the credit scene ends, there is one possible 3rd guardian's film story with one.

Question for you guys have you seen this film what did you think? did you feel the first film was better or do you feel this excess-ed the original?

Dislikes: I felt the music choice was bad in places there are a lot of 80s style music out there I feel Jame gun kind of choose the wrong ones, as certain moments weren't reflected by the music.

Some of the jokes kind of felt flat where other were funny, I think with poor music choices and joke not quite hitting the mark is it biggest flaw in this film, which makes the original better.

Overall: Great film not perfect, funny moment as well as some revealing emotional moments, slightly falls in concept make the original better, although the villain is better.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment /  7.8 out of 10 for sequel
