Story: Lewis (Luke Evans) is an outwardly ordinary guy, but in reality, he is hiding an obsession - revenge - against Cathy (Kelly Reilly). Lewis kidnaps Cathy in broad daylight and takes her to his home, where he locks her in a soundproof cell and attempts to extract a dark secret from her past

Likes: Damn, Luke Evans can play the unhinge concept character with ease, this was no exception. The last time I saw him play a role like this was in a film called "No One Lives" which you should check out, another great film of Luke Evans playing the unhinged psychopath.

The story is pretty straightforward easy to watch and understand film although at first you kind of wonder why Luke Character Lewis is acting in a twitchy behaviour, then you realise as the film progress why.
A lot of the beginning with the tv kind of give the film was a little too early, but not enough to understand what actually going down which is what great about this film.

The acting is spot especially with co-star  Kelly Reilly who plays the victim Cathy who gives a great performance you can see the great onscreen chemistry as they play off each other in the certain moment of the film, what seems like the victim give a really good twist as things don't seem to appear what they look like.

This gives the audience a feel of who is the actual victim here, it really throws you off as you don't know who to feel sorry for as the film progresses. I can see where the direction of this film was going which wasn't as bad as people are making out to be, I believe Suzi Ewing has done well with this film great direction although need to improve slightly on her storytelling but a pretty good film.

Dislikes: The only gripe here with this film really is the story does feel a little short on the suspense, I feel the whole reveal of the film should've been kept a little longer in the dark for the audience to get a grip on the story. This would have kept the suspense up a little long allow the film to progress better in it story, this really is the films only problem as for everything else was ok

Overall: Good direction, slightly a bit short, good acting

Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 6.7 out of 10 for Concept
