Story: ventriloquist's doll slappy is back and this time out to create more chaos on Halloween, stand in his way three teenage students have to fight and save the world from Slappy's evil plan.

Likes: For a sequel to the first film its done pretty well to keep that element that the first film had, yet more focused on Slappy (ventriloquist's doll) and the kids this time. It's that kind of movie that's straight to the point with no over-complicated story twist, although slighty dark the film has been diluted so it no overly scary for the kids to watch.

The pacing is great from start to finish as from the begin the film sets up the characters pretty well, so when slappy come on screen the audience then starts to see the true nature of the film which starts with a few laughs before the chaos assumes and all hell breaks loose.

There are some funny moments for the kids with a few laughs here and there although beware that some scene with Slappy maybe frightening for some younger viewers because at the time he does come across a little sinister and creepy. Though he does come across like that at times, their isnt really anything to worry about as the film is PG and family friendly with nothing majorly over frightening for kids.

The special effect is well done, although at time feel a bit off at times like the CGI wasn't finished, but good in other areas. Acting wise is pretty solid from kids although the adult acting was a little off in places with cringe-worthy dialogue.

if you're a fan of the first film you're probably love this one, plus it a great film for the younger kids to watch, although it far from a perfect film, which I can understand the low rating.

Dislikes: 3 Flaws I found in this film.

1. Dialogue - at time the dialogue come across very cringe-worthy, this is really bad for the film because it doesn't quite portray the scene they are trying to put across.

2. The story comes across like we have seen it before, this is because the writing for the story seems lazy written, special when you have thrown away character that makes no sense what so ever to be in the film other than to push the film is a direction. Ive seen this happen with the new Halloween film it back for a film story because it shows lazy writing and lack of imagination in the writers.

3. Jack black cameo in the film was absolutely pointless since he only came in at the last min of the film. Again with his character from the first film felt like a throwaway character just to give a plot twist at the end of the film.

Overall: Overal great Entertainment but lazy written with cringle worthy dialogue, but great for the family and kids to watch.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 6.8 out of 10 for the sequel
