Parents advised reading before viewing the film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity:
  • A man is seen rising from another's crotch, no nudity and the scene only last seconds.
  • Surrealist orgy in which many people writhe against each other. Only lasts for seconds and no nudity is shown. It really isn't a graphic scene.
  • Heavy kissing.
  • Overall the film isn't too bad as far as sex goes. It more so turns the camera away from the main action and is never explicitly shown.
  • At the beginning of the movie, when he is in the rehab's support group, he confesses that he is a Sex addict.
  • Some Sexual references are made
  • Elton is seen stripped and you can see a side butt and a shadow of his penis.
  • The sex scene isn't a sex scene it shows Elton and another man kissing in bed with their shirts off
  • In the "Bennie and the Jets" scene, you can see a topless woman in the background

Violence & Gore:
  • Elton is punched in the face.
  • A brief bar fight but it's played in the background of a dance number. It's comical.

Profanity:
  • The film features 26 uses of the expletive "fuck".
  • Some homophobic terms (fag, fairy, poofter).
  • 1 use of "cunt"
  • Milder terms include 'cock', 'bitch', 'prick', 'twat', 'arsehole', 'shit' and 'bastard'.
  • The F word is really only used when people are fighting

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:
  • Elton John is addicted to cocaine, weed, and alcohol. The use of these substances is frequently depicted. He also mentions that he has tried every drug known to man, yet this lifestyle isn't shown as glamorous in any way.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:
  •  Realistic depiction of how it is to struggle through, in relationship, drug and alcohol abuse, troubled relationship with both his parents, depression.

Story: A musical fantasy about the fantastical human story of Elton John's breakthrough years of his life.

Likes: WOW after watching this Bio movie of Sir Elton John I come to see alot in him that I went through with the depression, family and love side of things, though I don't struggle with my sexuality as im a straight male, I can understand where he coming from when it comes to love and the real struggle trying to live a life where you feel unloved.

Its this struggle in a person that you have to kill was once you to become someone you're not you tend to lose yourself, stress and pain getts buried deep you put a smile and act on for the real world while inside you screaming, this is something I can understand about Sir Elton John growing up.

when it comes to his parent's though I do have a mother that loves me I respect her for that, I understand where Elton is coming from with the Father who is a complete better lack of words an ass hole who treated him like he doesn't exist, but his mother as well being selfish, it's no wonder he struggled to the point it drove him to alcohol and drugs.

This is what this film is more about, it's not just about the amazing music he produced, this is a Full-on nothing held back story of Sir Elton John life, there are moments that I saw my self with the struggles he went through in some aspects. Taron Egerton brings a heartfelt emotional and compelling performance as Elton, in a heartbreaking journey through his childhood to adult life struggle with depression, drug, and alcohol abuse

Bryce Dallas Howard as a beautiful and talented actress she is, I hated her role in this film, not because of her performance but her character she was portrayed as she plays Elton mother who came across like a selfish B*tich, though she was really good at playing this role, I perfect her in other roles this. Jamie Bell perfect performance play as Elton friend and Music writer Bernie Taupin who has been by Elton side for 50-year writing and being a good friend to Elton.

Bear in mind this film might not be for everyone tastes, especial if you don't like Flambyount Musicians which partly some of these films are, so you might not like it because of that, but just beware that this is a film that portrays the Man he was and is today your stand him better though Taron performance.

Dislikes: There were a few flaws in the film,

1. there is an aerial shot of the Hollywood sign. The radio mast adjacent to the sign has modern telecommunications transmitters/ receivers on it that were not developed in the 1970s.

2. Restaurant restroom, the washbasin taps are of a modern mixer design, not available in early 1980

3. The Hollywood sign is in pristine condition during the montage showing Elton's arrival to Los Angeles, California, the sign was not refurbished until 1978.

Overall: Emotional and heartfelt compelling story of Elon John through his childhood to adulthood, a must watch,

Rating: 5 out of 5 Entertainment / 9.2 out of 10 for Compelling Bio story
