Sex & Nudity: None
Violence & Gore: Scene of Autopsy with blood, through the film brief scene of the mutilated body.
Profanity: Consistent with the franchise, strong language is expected. There are some utterances of the expletive "f**k"
Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Drinking at a bar scene
Frightening/Intense Scenes: Rated R for sequences of grisly bloody violence and torture, and for language.
Story: Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one suspect: John Kramer, the man known as Jigsaw, who has been dead for ten years.
Likes : Most people know how I feel by now about this franchise especially after these film's we're just milked for every penny it made after the first film which was fresh and original, but after this original film these movies just became this same old story of someone taking over jigsaw murderous legacy after he died.
Now here's jigsaw aka saw eight which has the same similar deal bodies start showing up the cops our in confusion to what going on because jigsaw (John Kramer) is dead. Yet these bodies show the same marking as the jigsaw victims the film does this throw you off at a certain point, the only thing with this film is that it does do a great job with the twists and new deaths traps some we're just brutal in a nasty way.
It is as good as the other film maybe some would agree but something about this film despite having new traps and a new set of people that have done something wrong and one of them closely effected Kramer it does feel the same movie, especially in certain area but the twist at the end makes the film worth watching although it not the best in the franchise.
There are moments that get seriously intense with close shaves and some pretty brutal death scenes, but the twist in the film give it a bit more edge which made it worth watching.
But going into this filmi wouldn't expect anything new as it does, unfortunately, feel like the others films.
Dislikes: The beginning of the film felt rushed as it just throws the audience straight into the trap scene which doesn't give you any build up what so ever, although you do get the backgrounds of the people in the trap later on in the film it did feel rushed.
Although the twist in the story is good it does feel like the other film instead of something new, especially a little short of the gore traps I expected better.
Overall : Good twist, Some new traps, good acting, just feels the same thing.
Rating: 5 out of 5 entertainment / 7 out of 10 for concept
