Story: Jason Bourne is again being hunted by the CIA. It begins when Nicky Parson a former CIA operative who helped Bourne who then went under and now works with a man who's a whistle blower and is out to expose the CIA's black ops. So Nicky hacks into the CIA and downloads everything on all their Black Ops including Treadstone which Bourne was a part of. And Heather Lee, a CIA agent discovers the hack and brings it to the attention of CIA Director Dewey, the man behind the Black Ops. He then orders Parsons be found and hopefully Bourne too. Parsons makes contact with Bourne who told her to remain under but she tells him, she found out his father was the one who created Treadstone and that they were interested in him long before he joined. Eventually they find them and there's a chase. Dewey sends a special operative known as The Asset who tries to get Bourne but gets Nicky instead. But before she dies she gives him something which leads him to the file that lends him to the past.
Likes : Not really a fan of the Jason bourne film's as they tend to be a little on the boring side with some action in between, not to say these arnt great film's. Going in to this film i did lower my expectation because i knew what i watching but surprisingly this isn't that bad of a film , ya there are a few flaws in this film with the cinematography but as 5th film in this spy espionage thriller Matt Damon looking a little older still make the character look convincing on screen.
The action iss pretty good in places breaks up the film, with out these action scene this film would have been boring , although it is a little predictable in places, this isn't a bad film.
It an improvement from Bourne legacy as that film was really boring , but with this film it has some action scene that keep the film from just imploding on itself . We see Jason once again drawn in to the world on intelligence as an old friend alert the intelligence agency of her breach which draws Jason back into the fold , but not only back in he finds out about his past which send him on a revenge path which gave the film a bit more story line.
Could i say this is a brilliant film not really, it a good film but this franchise is like beating a dead horse because it doesn't really finish the franchise off it leave it branching for another film , to be-honest these films should of only had 3 film's to be honest.
Bourne fans may or may not like this 5th installment , that gonna depend on whether you like this film's really.
Dislikes : The car chase are good stunt work but the cinematographic is a little poor with the shaking camera & split scene jump from one angle to other it kind of ruin the whole car chase scene really, the fight scene at the end which i seriously hate this when it used is shaking camera i hate this when it used in a film, director think it a cool think to use for a drama feel to the scene but it not the scene are just all over the place you can see what going on this is how bad these shaky camera effect are i wish they would use it in film's.
Overall : Great action, good stunt scene, poor camera work, good story.
