Likes :  Arrival is unlike any movie I've ever seen before in the sci-fi genre It's about love , loss , tolerance , language and non-linear time , wrapped in a science fiction story about our first encounter with extraterrestrials.

What great about this film is not just is stunning special effects & Oscar worthy performances its in the way the film slowly unfolds it self revealing its true story as to why the alien have come to earth. Although pacing is very slow with this film , it just has this way of drawing you in & commanding your attention to the very end is very clever.

I could go as far as to saying this is a sci-fi masterpiece , like the other film's that have tackled the question of is humanity really alone in the cosmos, from classics like "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951) "The War of the Worlds" (1953) "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (1977).

Amy Adams performance in this film is Oscar worthy she is absolutely increditable in this film with her character using her skill to figure out what the alien our trying to communicate , what you think is an invasion is something so beautiful & never been done before which make this Amy's best performance yet.

Jeremy Renner puts in a perfect performance as a co star to Amy character as they both try to think out what the signs mean that these alien are giving them , it become this mystery as both of these character are trying to figure this out, if give the audience this guess game of what going on which as i said draws you in.

This film does start with a very ballsy move with a very bleak dark moody scene that any family nightmare but as the film progress you start to see patterns merge , the beginning of the film become more clear.

This is something i haven't seen done in awhile and normal doesn't work so well hen starting a film like this but this was masterful done which show good film making. One of the the best sci-fi movie that has lot emotional elements with exceptional combination of great story-telling , cast and crew at the top of their game delivering an entertaining film that will have audiences talking about the questions it raises.

This is a film i recommend watching as this is a Oscar worthy master piece of sci-fi genre.

Dislikes : The only problem i did find was it pacing was a little to slow but the story was worth telling.

Overall : Oscar worthy , exceptional story-telling & Oscar worthy performances
