Sex & Nudity: None

Violence & Gore: Some of the horror sequences in the film also depict violence, containing details of bloodshed when characters are injured or killed.

For example, the strongest scene of violence depicts a character who is implied to have slashed a possessed man's neck to end his life.

The overall impact of violence is, however, reduced as most of the final blows occur off-camera or are implied through sound effects.

Profanity: The word "f**k" is used infrequently.

The film contains an utterance of the expletive "f**k".

Mild bad language such as the terms "hell", "damn", "shit" and "bitch" are also present in the film.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Drug are seen in the film being used for experiment

Frightening/Intense Scenes: 'Incarnate' is a horror-thriller that revolves around Dr. Seth Embers, and his unusual method of exorcism where he enters the victim's subconscious mind to evict the demonic spirit. His success soon catches the Catholic Church's attention and he is enlisted to carry out an exorcism on an 11-year-old boy who is possessed by an arch-demon.

Some depictions of horror might be more realistic and intense for younger viewers.

The film contains some jump scenes where tension is built up as characters come into contact with the supernatural. The tension is released through sudden loud sounds and appearances of human faces.

These scenes of horror, while intense, are brief and presented without strong detail.

Official MPAA Rating: Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of horror violence, terror, disturbing images, brief strong language, sensuality and thematic elements

Will Dr. Ember succeed in destroying Maggie and saving Cameron?

Likes : This film is a little underrated for it concept and special the imagination gone into this film , as this isn't you're typical exorcism type movie. Most exorcism movie you have the typical priest and his apprentice trying to dispel the demon from the human body , yet this film take on a different direction as this time you have a guy that can actually enter the mind of possessed person.

This is a clever concept to use although slightly under used in this film , which we see Dr. Ember ( Aaron Eckhart) playing a guy that has this powerful empath ability to enter the mind of the person possessed to pull them out of the demon grasp by using something personal.

This is what great about this film because not only do we get this concept of the person being control fully from a demon , we are thrown in to their mind world where the demon is using their own dreams to keep them there while feed off the energy of the host which is explain brilliantly in the film.

David Mazouz (star of "Gotham") does a brilliant performance in this film playing the possessed child , which is very convince and brilliant method acted from a lively child to a possessed child is just amazing.

With the supporting
cast which is spot on with the sincerity in which they convey their emotional portrayals , Carice van Houten (who you may reconise from "Game of Thrones") plays the concerning mother worried about her child and Catalina Sandino Moreno playing Riley who's from the Vatican who finds her self very concerned that what they are dealing with is a arch-demon.

Along with Dr. Ember assistants Riley ( Emily Jackson) and Oliver (Keir O'Donnell) who help with these exorcism make this a very unique movie to watch , with cameos from Petra Sprecher , Natalija Nogulich , Breanne Hill you can't really go wrong with this film.

What also great about this is Eckhart character in this film really draw you into the emotional side of this film as we get a back ground to his past what happen to make him the way he is in the film , why his on a mission to find this one demon and destroy it.

I honestly like this concept , its a little under used in places like ive said before but when it come to these types of films it refreshing to see a different concept being used. It no where as bad as the critic made it out to be , yes there are area which could of done more in the film but this is a pretty good film for what it is.
The film is not perfect by any means, but I do appreciate what the Director was trying to do. I would recommend giving this a chance even if it for the one time view , as demon possession go this was a pretty good concept and direction to go in so i recommend watching this depending on you taste.

Dislikes :  Part of the film did feel a little rushed , there should of been more possession scene instead of just the two which one was the main focus of the film. I did feel there could of been more it would have given the film a bit more enjoyment as this concept is pretty good, like i said its under used in this film.

Im not sure if the ending was might to be that way but they kind of left it open ended like there could be a sequels to this film , but if there is no sequel to be done they should of just ended the film instead of the way they did.  These are the only two things i found wrong with the film.

Overall : Brilliant performances , underused concept, great flow and casting , worth watching

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 8 out of 10 for concept
