Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.
Sex & Nudity: A woman disrobes before committing suicide in a pool. We see her back and legs but no explicit nudity. Later a very wide shot shows her frontal nudity through bloodstained water
Violence & Gore: Extreme violence, clearly shot with little to no shaky cam so that everything is clearly visible. Gunshots to the head and body are shown graphically, with bloody holes and blood splatter. Hand to hand combat scenes are very intense, with violent hits and audible broken bones. Characters are often stabbed or shot during hand to hand combat.
John is shot many times while wearing a bulletproof suit, but these shots are still seen to hurt him and we see his bruises later.
A woman slits her wrists before she is shot in the head. Her blood oozes out into a pool she is sitting in.
A man is chased from a concert into tunnels beneath the concert, shooting people the whole time.
A man fights many hitmen attempting to claim a bounty on him. They attack in public, and he kills them all brutally.
A man kills two hitmen with a pencil. This scene is very graphic and painful to watch.
Two men have a shootout in public, followed by a knife fight. At one point, they are shooting silenced pistols at each other over the tops of unknowing pedestrians' heads.
A man opens fire at a party, killing many henchmen and taking their weapons.
A man shoots an unarmed man sitting at a table as the man taunts him.
Profanity: About 20 F-words, mostly used in the first 5 minutes by Peter Stormare's character.
Some uses of "Shit", and some religious exclamations.
Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: John drinks several times throughout the movie, usually with other people.
At one point we see unidentified drugs among the goods being smuggled by a gang.
Frightening/Intense Scenes: Not suitable for children due to the very high body count.
The criminal world is shown to act without any interference from law enforcement.
Confirmed rating: Rated R for brief nudity, some language and strong violence throughout
Story: After returning to the criminal underworld to repay a debt, John Wick discovers that a large bounty has been put on his life , you know what happen when you you cross the boogieman , the body count rises.
Likes : "Dammm!" when you stab the "Boogie Man" in the back be prepared to dig your own grave and those around you as the body count is about to rise, John wick (Keanu Reeves) is not only back but the body count is off the charts with this film. Rarely does a squeal exceeds it's original film; but every now and then you get a great director that know what they are doing, special with this film although the first film had more impact this film up's the ante with brutal intent.
This is the thing that make this film look real is Keanu dedication in combat train with martial arts and gun combat which absolutely shows on screen , it this dedication that make this film brilliant all the way through. The other things as well which im glad with is no shaky camera effects , the film is shot in wide angles which give the audience a perfect view of the action going on.
Dam the action scene are brutal with an R-rating special with every move Keanu make the body's just drop one by one it's amazing choreography which help the film alot, which give the film it's entertainment value special the speech (Ian McShane) character Winston give Santino D'Antonio played by (Riccardo Scamarcio) just give you the chills. You just know from what he saying give's a very clear message on who john wicks is he not just a man , he legend is real mess with john wicks you might as well dig your grave.
What i love about this film is it doesnt skip the original story ending it actually carry on from the original when he killed a Russians son Iosef Tarasov who is a Russian crime named tsar (Peter Stormare) nephew, to which he reminds us of Wick's ruthless boogeyman reputation, and after Wick retrieves his stolen 1969 Mustang and knocks off another dozen or so of his men, he brokers a truce that puts the vendetta of the first movie to rest.
This was good for the film because it from here it cuts ties with the first story, which allow the film to continue to a different concept. This is how you do a film right continue the sequel with continue the story from the last cut the ties and continue to a different concept.
The fights scene are well choreographed special the fight scene between john wick and Cassian Common) , this fight alone iss worth watch as the intense fight between these two character is brilliant.
Although the first film had the better impact which was the better of the two films , i will say this "John wick 2" is well worth checking out if you loved the first film, it's well deserving of the certification of an R-rating special most of the action scene where off the chart brutal even i had to look away at some parts.
The stunt choreographer has done a brilliant job with this film as well, as some of these stunt scene are awesome with the gun combat, giving the audience this fast paced action gun battle which is just amazing to watch on screen.
This this a highly recommend film to watch at the cinema , its not to be missed.
Dislikes : There is a few flaws but nothing you cant look past to be honest.
Overall : Amazing gun combat and fight scenes , brutal bloody action , brilliant performances
Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 9 out of 10 for concept.

ReplyDeleteClick popcornflix to watch John Wick 2 is a great sequel that wasn't underwhelming it produced great action scenes great performances and there wasn't a dull moment in sight, its more fast paced than the first but all in good favor, Keanu Reeves gives it his all and adds a lot to these movies I'm hopeful that this continues on to be a great franchise, we got are first peek into the mob underworld in the first movie and in this movie its more fleshed and we get to know more about wick as the story progresses as I said it adds more to the story in every aspect which is to be praised.
