StoryHaving taken her first steps into the Jedi world, Rey joins Luke Skywalker on an adventure with Leia, Finn and Poe that unlocks mysteries of the Force and secrets of the past

Likes: I kind of saw this coming after just how bad force awakens was with it flaws not to say that all this film was bad it had it moments, but there just isn't a lot I can say I loved about this film.
This truly is the 3rd film I've watched other the past 3 months that has been bad with lazy writing, with from Thor Ragnarok, justice league and now this, as it seems 2017 feel like a bad year to end with poorly made films.

The only things I can honestly say that was good about this film is Daisy performance was better in this film given what she was given for the character, with Mark Hamill one of his best performances returning as Luke Skywalker with a familiar character. The film dive more into the unleashed powers of a Jedi which did work for the film in places.

There was one moment with the porg and chewie which yes was funny, and visual effect of the film was stunning but the story is so weak written and felt so lazy it unreal. which sadly I'm gonna have to give spoilers away in the dislikes to explain just how bad this film truly just feels like daisy and mark Hamill talent were wasted here, especially with Oscar Isaac performance in this film which was brilliant.

Dislikes: This film has so many flaws it unreal special in its story alone, especially when you could tell there was no continuing story going on, it truly shows two different people have made two separate films which made it even worst.

At some points it felt like a combination of rehashing Empire strike back, ripping off the iconic obi wan and Darth Vader moment from a new hope and with a return of the Jedi feel as well. Finally, we get to see snoke in his full glory and yes he very formidable presence on screen, which force awakens set him up as the new master, only to cut his story arc short in this film.

Not to mention the massive flaw in dialogue with snoke explaining that he can sense everything in Kylo, yet failed to sense what Kylo was about to do (you completely failed this moment in dialogue alone) which made zero sense from what Snoke was explaining, especially when he was extremely powerful in the force which was ever-dent on screen.

The moment at the beginning of the film with General Hux who the hell wrote the dialogue for that scene seriously, that was utter take you out of the film moment with poor dialogue which im not sure was meant to be a joke but it utterly failed.

Probably about forty minutes of the film we're given just a chase scene through space like something out of battle star galactic which was wasting a big chunk of the film, the chase the cruiser plot  dragged on far 2 long, that could've been used for Rey training with Luke which by the way there wasn't any which beg the question how can you call her a Jedi when she no trained.

The whole rebellion fits on 1 cruiser? how can they even be a threat to the first order that seems to have an endless supply of star destroyers and even bigger ships, which made no sense since in the force awakens they destroyed almost half the galaxy's which wasn't even explained in the last Jedi?

Even worst trying to contact other rebels cross the galaxy, how is this even possible when these planets are gone, it like the director or writers didn't watch the force awakens and followed it. The whole Finn/Rose plotline without any payoff in the movie felt very forced, just to give finn something to do.

The whole arc of this filmmaking Kylo seemly the new boss when he clearly is this whinny teenager with no control, the whole film is just an incoherent mess that Disney thinks is a good idea to realise this film on this level of flawed dialogue and story.

Sadly this seems more of a cash cow now with no passion and pushing the product placement to sell porgs was a little too much, which makes this film seriously bad.

Overall: Again it feels like a rehash, rip off moments with poor dialogue and lazy story writing.

Rating: 4 out of 5 for Entertainment / 6 out of 10 for a continued story.
