Story:  Rocky past comes back to haunt him as light heavyweight contender Adonis Creed has to face off against Viktor Drago, son of Ivan Drago. It becomes less of a fight for pride but more of a fight for family.

Likes: This is the film that should have been Rocky 5, with a story of rocky past coming back to haunt him as Ivan Drago is back and this time is more personal. From the event of rocky 4 Ivan losing to rocky, he lost everything but gain a son who for year he has been training.

From the first creed film, the relationship between Adonis and Bianca propelled this film forward bring more heart and emotional moment to this film which is really great, this isnt the only moments in this film that are emotional.
The film wants you to seriously hate Viktor Drago and Ivan but we are given a background to there lives after rocky 4, you can understand why they want this and why they want redemption because Russia society in this story is based on honour.

The film does a great job in giving a rocky 3 and rocky 4 style moments during the films and even though they seem familiar it's done is a style to motivate the film with a great come back toward the end.
The camera work throughout this film is incredibly done especially the slow-motion shots and angle shot in the ring without that shaky camera, giving the audience pound for pound punches that even I could feel, Damn I thought rocky 4's Ivan Drago's punches look strong.

With the emotional side of the film, it feels like a film that put the past films to rest and fills the gaps the story years, giving a final moment for Adonis to put the past behind him. I wasn't joking with every punch throw by Viktor as watching it on screen it has you reeling back when those punches connected as they were that vicious. if you're looking for a realistic boxing film this doesn't disappoint.

By the end of the film your kind of rooting for them both because you know what they are going through so there no real villian here in this film, other than two men trying to get redemption. High recommended film to watch, awesome boxing fights, great nobs to rocky 3 and 4 with a few emotional moments.

Dislikes: There was one slight scene, I noticed that a rope on the ring snapped then second later is was fixed. but other than that this was a great film.

Overall: Great realism in boxing, intense matches, emotional story for both characters.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 9 out of 10 for the sequel
