Violence & Gore:
Profanity: There are 2 A words, one or two H words, at least one use of "crap," and several OMGs. One group of teenage girls flips off another group.
Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: None
Frightening/Intense Scenes: The film focuses on a group of teenage girls that get trapped in an underwater Mayan ruin with a shark. The sense of peril is constant throughout, and most of the movie has a very claustrophobic feel.
Story: 47 Meters Down: Uncaged follows the diving adventure of four teenage girls (Sophie NĂ©lisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju and Sistine Stallone) exploring a submerged Mayan City. Once inside, their rush of excitement turns into a jolt of terror as they discover the sunken ruins are a hunting ground for deadly Great White Sharks. With their air supply steadily dwindling, the friends must navigate the underwater labyrinth of claustrophobic caves and eerie tunnels in search of a way out of their watery hell.
Likes: After watching the first film which actually was surprisingly good and something new, which normal when it come to shark films they seem to feel overly used in film they tend to get over used in plots like the zombies film.
Credit where credit is due there are a few shark film after jaws that have been good like Bait and the shallows, but watching this sequel it follow a new group of people that find trouble pretty fast. While the film give some great moments of fear with a very claustrophobic feeling, we see the group travel through tight spaces in a Ancient Mayan city that been Submerged by water for years.
While most of the film is enjoyable to watch there are moments i found that kind of take you out of the film a little which is a shame because the back drop plot of this film is actually good. I love the change of setting instead of being in the ocean like most but all shark films this film tries something different by take the back drop to under water tunnels of a submerged Mayan City which gives the film is edge of fear and actually worked for the sharks.
while there are the two moments in the film that kind of slightly ruin the film, the rest of the film is actually worth watch.
Dislikes: Im not sure if this film was meant for 3D by one fish moments that was so stupid it made the film unbelievable kind of slightly took me out the film. The other moment is a moment where you have a moment of disbelief because in a vortex of wind or water you get trapped in you aren't coming out alive due to the body can only take so much stress before it break.
Apart from these two moments the rest of the film is good, but because of these moment this film lose grade point for me.
Overall: claustrophobic, dark brutal, two stupid moments but good to watch
Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 6.7 out of 10 for sequel

Violence & Gore:
- A group of teenage girls bully another girl and shove her into the pool while she is trying to walk to class. Everything in her backpack is ruined, and the girl is shown almost in tears.
- A character is suddenly grabbed by a shark. Blood spreads through the water, and he is shown screaming as the shark drags him away.
- A man is attacked by a shark, and his bloody disfigured face is shown later when another character finds him.
- A character falls from a cliff into the water and is eaten by sharks. The body is ripped in half, but the scene is dark, so not a lot of gore is shown.
- A shark suddenly pops up and eats a character. Some blood is shown.
- As the girls swim through the flooded ruins, they receive several minor cuts and bruises.
- Characters are shown chumming the water to attract sharks. Buckets of bloody fish remains are dumped into the water, staining the water red.
- There are a few brief discussions of how the Mayans used to do human sacrifices. Human bones are shown scattered across the floor of the temple.
