Likes: Ive been waiting to see this film for a long time, especial when i first saw the trailer for it, ya alot of are gonna say Kristen Stewart dont like her so im not watching the film, you would be missing out on one of the most intense underwater horror film ever.
Kristen Stewart is absolute awesome in this film, give the audience some intense moments of fear and bravery against all odds, her acting here is spot on, along with the rest of cast ,T.J. Miller trying his best to make jokes in the most intense situations, Vincent Cassel seem like a bad ass captain trying to get the crew to safety. Jessica Henwick and John Gallagher Jr.playing a couple in the film trying to survive as well give the audience some pretty frighting moment.
This film is love letter to Alien, Cloverfield, A Quiet Place, The Abyss, Soma, DeepStar Six and HP Lovecraft, im not kidding you this film has HP love craft written all over it, it not just the intensity of these creatures, it what the film reveal towards the end that is a huge Love craft love letter and it was awesome and frightening at the same time.
What really give this film its edge is the Pitch black ocean floor, where you cant see anything in front of you without shining a light on it, it give the audience this Claustrophobia feel as they are out in the open water, you fear where are these creature, where they gonna come from, this is how intense this film is.
This is the type we want more of under water creature features give a better edge than in space because you have no escape under water, this is another thing that make this awesome film to watch.
while the film isnt Character driven, its plot driven there is a reason for that which your find out if you watch the film. Though it might not be a film for everyone, but if you love HP love craft your gonna love this film.
Dislikes: I can see with most audience they will hate it because it doesnt really have character development which is kind of a reason why, but i can see why most wont like it because of that allow.
Overall: This is a film that grabs you and wont let go or take breath, very intense dark and frightening.
Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 9.8 out of 10 for the HP Lovecraft style horror

Sex & Nudity:
- Kristen Stewart shown in her bra and very skinny panties for many scenes (gratis) with close-up shots at end of movie.
- A character take off his pants to slip into an underwater suit complaining at his underwear being ripped to. His partial behind covers a majority of the screen briefly. Scene is played mostly for laughs.
Violence & Gore:
- A dead body is seen in rubble. No open wounds but the body is pale and appears to be staring at the protagonist.
- Cuts and scratches are commonly seen on characters faces.
- Most of the violence is hard to see due to the minimal lighting.
- Blood in water followed by a severed gloved hand floating past a character and an eye bouncing off a character's helmet.
- Characters killed in the beginning as they run from imploding structure, but moment of death obscured by water.
