Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: None

Violence & Gore: Moderate portrayals of violence with some detail is depicted, but justified by context.

The film contains many scenes where the characters engage in gunfights which are typical in western films.

Some of the characters engage in close combat with weapons such as knives and axes.

Stronger depictions of violence include a scene where it is implied that part of a man's ear has been shot off; a scene where a man slashes his opponent repeatedly; a prolonged battle sequence between the heroes and a hired army where exchanges of gunfire are depicted; a scene of a man being shot by arrows at close range; etc.

The scenes are shown in quick cuts, containing little detail of blood and injury, and do not focus on the pain or suffering of the victims.

As such, the film is more appropriate for a teen audience.

Profanity: Mild language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Some of the main characters are smoking & drinking

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  A remake of the 1960 American western film of the same title, 'The Magnificent Seven' revolves around a group of seven gunslingers who have gathered to oppose a baron who is threatening the helpless folks of a mining town.

Story: Director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to a classic story in The Magnificent Seven. With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue, the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns. As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.

Likes : Right first of all this is a timeless classic weston that has been Remade so many times before, if you've seen the original you cant help but compare the two. First thing i will say is dont go into this film expecting some new as it something weve see in countless other weston film's only this has up to date cast in it, your find the film enjoyable to watch.

Yes there are moment  that feel a little off , but i like the way it starts off by giving you something to hate mainly the villain of the film played brilliant & ruthlessly by Peter Sarsgaard as the typical corrupt cowboy who doesnt care who he step over to get what he wants & will not hesitate to shoot you.

Haley Bennett second film with Denzel Washington who recently starred in The Equalizer play the only woman in the town to actually have the balls to get help as the rest of the town folk were too scared , i will say she not only beautiful , she has talent as well with the way she comes off on screen she really sell's character perfect.

Denzel Washington seriously is there no film this man can't do , yet another brilliant performance on screen playing the main lead Chisolm who original was played by Yul Brynner in the original film. With his character he had some funny moments special at the start with the bar scene which was pretty. You could tell he had agenda when he took the job on just by the way his character was behaviour which is good because it doesnt reveal this until later in the film , which worked as it was great time.

The one thing that stands out is the film casting unlike the original they decide to mix up the character which i though worked for the concept of the film because in weston it was multi cultured which comes across on screen brilliant. Action wise we get the usual gun fights & the typical weston standoff moment's in the middle of the town, along with some amazing stunt work on horse's.

Ethan HawkeVincent D'Onofrio, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo , Martin Sensmeier & Byung-hun Lee done brilliant with their character throwing some banter at each other which was good for the film as some of the moments where funny.

Can i say it a perfect weston movie ?  some what yes in area's other area had room for improvement but like i said before when it comes to weston it nothing we havent see before, but still a great film to actually watch for a modern updated version take on the The Magnificent Seven.

Dislikes : Here's where people are probably gonna hate me for saying this Chris Pratt character ,  Chris did a great job as "Josh Faraday". His dialogue delivery was good and on time , the only problem i had is that sometime his own personality would compromise the character concept like he was being the usual chris pratt we all know this slightly come off on screen a little bad but still funny.

Overall : Nothing new but a great weston none the less, great casting, good action.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.4 out of 10 for remake concept.
