Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Two characters touch heads lovingly. Nothing happens though. The audience is left hanging.

Nothing sexual happens in this movie. Not even anything sensual.

Violence & Gore:
Moderate portrayals of violence with some details are featured in the film, but justified by context. Said portrayals of violence also include some infliction of pain and injury, but are not detailed, intense or prolonged.

The film contains several scenes of violence where the characters engage in fights using various types of medieval weapons, such as daggers, swords, clawed-gloves and whips, coupled with physical attacks such as punches and kicks.

While there are no strong details of injuries or bloodshed, violence is highlighted by brief scenes of throat-slitting and stabbing when the assassins deal lethal blows to their enemies.

There are also some scenes depicting knives or arrows that are lodged in the victims' forearm or chest.

Lots of violence.

A character has their throat slit. It's intense and drawn out.

A character is killed brutally with knives.

One very intense scene contains a character stabbed in the neck and other charcaters getting killed including a fountain with thick blood flowing through it.

These scenes would, thus, make the film more appropriate for a teen audience. Parental guidance strongly advised.

Profanity: The film contains an utterance of the expletive "fuck".

Mild language. Hell, damn, etc...

Alcohol/Drugs/SmokingMentioning of some drugs. Nothing noticeable.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  'Assassin's Creed' is an action-adventure film that revolves around a fictional conflict between a clandestine group known as the Templars and a group of assassins. The story centers on the character, Callum Lynch, who is a descendant of an assassin during the period of the Spanish Inquisition.

Tons of violence throughout. Basically lots of violence with little to no blood. Really graphic scenes are cut off and done off screen or from a distance.

There are long periods of daring jumps and leaps of faith that are intense.

Intense battle sequences throughout.

A man is executed towards the beginning. Very intense

A boy comes across his dead mother. Blood is shown and later the actual murder is shown

Recommend age 15 + due to some scene that are too violent for anyone under 15

Story: Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day

Likes : I can see why critic had a hard time with this film because it's one of those fan made concept for those that have actually played the assassin creed game's , which lot of this film pay homage to with some spectacular visual effects and alot for the concept from the game itself.
Despite Some of the critic review's and reports after viewing this film and their express point of views of their concern on yet another video game movie attempt ,  they are wrong with their negative reviews on this one.

As i can honestly say that not seeing this movie in theater would be a mistake not to as the action sequences combined with excellent cinematography with fight scene and the special effects are good , this allowed for a thrilling ride from both the present-day Callum Lynch played brilliantly by Michael Fassbender to the Inquisition-Animus Aguilar segments present in the film.

Dispite a few flaws and a nick pick issue in this adapted movie this is one of the best adapted video game to movie ive seen ,  the first to actually break the bad video game to movie curse.

What make this a well made film as well is that director Justin Kurzel hasn't tried to copy what done before in the game's that we have already have seen before , he's gone with a different story & character's with the help of ubisoft which actually works for the film success on screen.

This is where i feel most game to movie adaptation go wrong when the director try's to copy the game in every way , instead of coming up with different characters for the story.

The transaction from present day to the past on visual effect is just brilliant done throughout the film , although in the game they use a chair as the Animus but with the film they use a crane device for movement which actually work with the concept they we're putting across on screen.

Jeremy iron was the perfect choice of casting for the mega-corporation Abstergo Industries boss Rikkin for the modern-day face of the Knights Templar. He has this presence on screen which is perfect for this role he's playing.

Marion Cotillard beautiful french actress (star of allied) playing the daughter of Rikkin , who is the tech science trying to get Callum to find the apple of Eden so they can cure violence in the world. But to those that know this story of assassin creed know that the knights Templar have a different plain.

Marion performance is brilliant throughout the film show a determined woman after what she needs , what is actually brilliant about this film is the fact it reveal something about her character which i noticed at a certain point of the film.

This film's concept is brilliant on focus on Michael Fassbender character Callum Lynch giving us a not only a back ground of his past as a child but also the the past , as we get a glimpse of callum  ancestor Aguilar from the Spanish Inquisition.

Fassbender performance is brilliant in playing a pretty messed up person from what's happen in his past which is shown in the film , he come across very believable in his character which works for the film concept.

The ending sets up a sequel perfect which i hope they ignore the critic , because this film was actually brilliantly done , special with the concept we work in the shadow to service to the light which was also introduced brilliantly in to this film.

This is a film i highly recommend watching on the big screen.

Dislikes : The iss a slight flaw in the film with Callum character with it skipping 30 years , it doesnt really explain why his being executed for a murder which should of been explain more.

The other thing is just a nick pick really the subtitles i found a little distracting , its was slightly take the attention away from the screen , i know they we're trying to keep it authentic with the Spanish language but i still think it would of been better with English speaking.

Overall : Brilliant adaptation from Game to movie , brilliant visual effect , brilliant performances.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for Entertainment / 9.3 out of 10 for game adaptation
