Likes : One thing im gonna say first ive seen People say that this is just fake they made it up to scare you well unless you've had a paranormal event happen in your life your always gonna believe that these things never happen.
Well the reason why some people believe these never happen is because they spend half their live rushing around living in there own bubble of life to notice thing around that happening, haunting like this very rarely get in to the news because of case's where people have fakes things but 8 out of 10 time the haunting will be real.

I've read the real case on this event i can honestly say everything that is happening actually happen in some way or another but the film does over dramatize the film to make it interesting, but this haunting actually happen in August 30, 1977 before i was born, but i look this haunting up & the media storm it caused. What good about this film is they've actually did their homework on this film to make it as authentic as possible with some great acting & great special effects to bring this true event to life, this is this years most frightening film & one of the best horror to come out in a while to truly frightening you with out the stupid jump scares.

Throughout the film, the tone manages to keep it dark atmosphere to really keep you on edge  every moment, straight off the bat the film give's you the creepiness with the amityville house investigation setting up the tone for the enfield case in England.
Even than this film doesn't easy up, were introduced to the hodgson family  everything seem find but as the film start to get in to it main story dam this film seriously take on a life of it own as it starts getting darker & darker. Its from this film you get an understanding of what the family really went through with the real haunting that Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated , there are moments that are funny which actually did happen to the police when they were called to the house.

But you just cant imagine the situation of being called to a house & having first hand witness to some pretty strange happen & things that goes beyond reality & its frighten having had a paranormal experience myself it truly is one of the most unnerving experience you will ever have in life it change you,  so i feel for this family having had this event happen to them because i would wish it on anyone.

Very rarely does a sequel excess-ed its first film but James Wan (director of the up & coming Aquaman) has truly made for the first time in god knows how long the first frightening horror film to hit the screen without stupid jump scares, this film was naturally frightening with the atmosphere & that creepy animation of the crooked man dam that was so creepy it was unreal.

I love the way they portrayed Lorraine vision with an out body experience like she seeing thing through her gift of foresight, brilliantly bring the film out more, special with it's dark atmospheric tone this is one film you should not miss at the cinema.

Dislikes : My only problem with the film is the interview section of the film being portrayed in 1977, it made the English people look stupid , it could just be me nitpicking but the interviews the people just seem to come off like they were simple like dum. it just the way it comes across but the rest of the film is brilliant.

Overall : one of the most frightening & dark films too hit the cinema this year.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 10 out of 10 for true event story being told
