Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: The film contains a brief scene of intimacy between Set and Hator. Set is seen lying next to Hator on a bed and kissing her on the lips. The scene then cuts to the couple waking up in bed, where they are implied to be naked though no nudity is shown

Violence & Gore: Violence occurs periodically over the course of the film, mostly involving hand-to-hand combat between the Egyptian Gods where they are seen trading forceful blows with their weapons.

In some combat sequences, some characters are seen impaled by sharp weapons.

One of the stronger sequences depicts a combat between a group of 'minotaurs' [half bull, half man creatures] and the Egyptian Gods, Horus and Set. It contains depictions of a minotaur's calf being severed by a sword; a minotaur being cut in half; and another minotaur being beheaded by Set, with its severed bull's head seen briefly rolling across the ground.

While the scenes of violence contain some details of injuries, the impact is mitigated by the fantasy setting of the film where the characters are mythical creatures which bleed golden-blood. The film also does not dwell on the infliction of pain and suffering.

Profanity: Mildly strong language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: none

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  Some scene can be pretty intense.

Story: Set, the merciless god of darkness, has taken over the throne of Egypt and plunged the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. Few dare to rebel against him. A young thief, whose love was taken captive by the god, seeks to dethrone and defeat Set with the aid of the powerful god Horus.

Likes : First of all yes this film flop badly in box office, which is understandable because viewing this film there are moment when im actually shaking my head at. Now dont get me wrong most of the film is great to watch there are bit's in this film i actually liked but there are bit that are awful.

The base of the film story it's a brilliant concept using the gods as actually living among the people of Egypt, it actually does a good job with the mythological side although not historically right since it doesnt use any Egyptian actors which warrants the back lash it got.

Do i think the film could of been better done on $140,000,000 budget yes because there are a few thing wrong with this film which i will put in the dislikes.
The casting although no Egyptian involved does do somewhat of a good job with there performances that they are given , Gerard Butler character that he play,  he doesnt a great job at play the evil god of darkness set although some things felt a little off .
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau playing the nephew Horus who does a great performance as the god hero of the film with some awesome transformation scenes.

The visual effect & C.G.I are somewhat great but alot of this film is bad on visual effect which im surprised with because of the budget this film has had, but the film as a whole its has bad as its made out to be but its far from being a perfect film which i feel could of done been better.

Dislikes : Several thing i noticed as to why this film flopped it the script writing, the casting is great but some of the dialog is awful on curtain characters special with the way the director has portrayed Set played but Gerard butler.
He dose a good job with what he given but he could have been give a more ruthless concept because his character was a little too tone down for a god of darkness.

There was a few other dialog moment though out the film that just felt off like the writers dont know what they are doing, it just didnt feel epic enough like it was missing something.

Apart from certain good c.g.i moments there are some seriously bad visual & .C.G.I moment like they got completely lazy with the effect & done the C.G.I on a very low budget, special with set's general that look like bulls or Minotaur the C.G.I is so poorly done it looks bad on screen.

The other visual effect are with green screen, some scene are good because it using the same effect it didnt with lord of the rings, but some of the green screen effect really show in this film, it was actually made the film look fake as if the characters weren't were they were at time, this is done to poor editing team. Apart from that the rest of the film was actually good but not good enough to pass as a cinema realise.

Overall : Great concept poorly edited, poor visual effect & C.G.I in some scene, good performance despite the lack script.

Rating: 4.3 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.1 out of 10 for concept
