Story: Jay and Silent Bob return to Hollywood to stop a reboot of the 'Bluntman and Chronic' movie from getting made.
Likes: When it comes to Jay and silent bob the first film was kind of a one off funny entertaining film when it first came out, while im not really a fan of clerks, Jay and silent bob strike back was kind of funny. With this film it doesnt kind of take the mick out of hollywood more by all the reboots, like it kind of saying hollywood has no originality any more which ya is kind of true, i would agree with it.
This film may appeal to millennial more than the general audience, while the film is self aware of itself having his own daughter play a role in the film, tries to bring some human element to the film, but sadly this film just wasn't that good.
Dislikes: Dont get me wrong Jay and silent bob strike back was entertaining and funny, but the weed jokes just arnt as funny as they were the first time, while it does try to be funny and give a human side to it, alot of the film doesnt hit the mark.
This film to me feels like someone written it while smoking weed thinking it was a great idea on paper, but failed to execute th the film on performance, i feel that filming making just isnt Kevin smith calling unless he come up with something different because jay and silent bob film is utter badly, just doesnt have the same appel as the first film, because it using the same direction and the same tropes which i feel is ultimately its down fall.
Overall: Badly written, Unfunny, just not worth watching
