Sex & Nudity:

  • Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, some sexual material, language and drug references.

  • By the same directors/makers of Taken, and 3 Days to Kill. If you have seen any of those movies, this is similar in these categories.

  • Man shown in bed sleeping with two women. The main character kisses a woman, removing shirt (sex is implied IN THIS VERY BRIEF SCENE WITH NO NUDITY). More kissing; women shown dancing and lounging in some skimpy outfits.

Violence & Gore:

  • Prostitution/Slave trafficking is the main theme of the movie like the first Taken.

  • Strong, frequent fighting; not much blood or gore (aside from a somewhat gory bullet-removal scene). Guns are fired, and many secondary characters die. Burned corpses. Frequent martial arts fighting. Frequent car chases, exploding cars. Lots of peril/danger. A woman is pistol-whipped in the face.

Profanity:  1 use of "f--k", close to 20 of "shit" and "ass" combined and 1-2 uses of "bitch"

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:

  • Heroin overdoses are referenced by the kingpin

  • Also champagne, beer and vine is drinking in the movie.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  Appropriate for 13+

Story: Frank Martin, played by newcomer Ed Skrein, a former special-ops mercenary, is now living a less perilous life - or so he thinks - transporting classified packages for questionable people. When Frank's father (Ray Stevenson) pays him a visit in the south of France, their father-son bonding weekend takes a turn for the worse when Frank is engaged by a cunning femme-fatale, Anna (Loan Chabanol), and her three seductive sidekicks to orchestrate the bank heist of the century.

Frank must use his covert expertise and knowledge of fast cars, fast driving and fast women to outrun a sinister Russian kingpin, and worse than that, he is thrust into a dangerous game of chess with a team of gorgeous women out for revenge. From the producers of LUCY and the TAKEN trilogy, THE TRANSPORTER REFUELED is a fresh personification of the iconic role of Frank Martin, that launches the high-octane franchise into the present-day and introduces it to the next generation of thrill-seekers.

Likes : I went in to this film with low expectation, which was a good choice to do because ya this film is just about good to watch but it was that great of a film if im honest. Fair play for new-comer Ed Skrein for doing this role, he's certainly is a good actor has prove that with this film, but i feel this was the wrong role for him as a fighter as Skrein dose his best to reach that level but fails in experience which dose come off on screen which is a shame.

The story of the film is pretty solid its what you would expect from a action thriller, the pace is ok, the story dose go along at a stead pace, but i wouldn't go as far as to say high octane action though this film kind of lacks that slightly.
All though this film has great action scene you do find yourself compare the two films, which is ok but you can spot the failure with this version.

Dislikes : One problem i notice was with the lack of experience in the industry Ed Skrein which i feel should of been give a different better role because the character he was trying to play didn't come off as a soldier & that been trained in hand to hand combat.

The fight scene were a little weak as it came off on scene that this was the first time choreographed in martial arts combat, he did well but i think for these type of role Ed need a be more experience in fight on screen, because statham version of the film was better in fights.

i would say the story was weak but it kind of felt flat at times, like it was trying to hard to measure up to the other version, instead of being its own version which i noticed it try to copy in some place it just didn't come off well.

Overall : Good car chases, shame the fighting was great but it was just about ok to watch.

Rating: 4.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 5.8 out of 10 for concept.
